Wolf Tucker the raw dog food specialist is one of the leading raw dog food companies in the UK and wanted to step in the world of brand film. As a business they have seen great success in the minimal amount of years they have been in operation, being awarded the Theo Paphitis “Small Business Sunday” award really set them in their stride. What they found was lacking was digital marketing and specifically video content. The team at Wolf Tucker got in touch and we set up our initial meeting.
Through a discovery session we guided the team at Wolf Tucker through our unique process. By taking them on this journey we were able to pin point the exact content that would best work for them. The result was clear, through their previous online messaging there was little information into the ‘why’ behind the business and the story of the people who created it. Family is everything to the Wolf Tucker brand and we knew that we needed to communicate this through a brand film.
Production – Time To Film The Brand Film
The brand film concept was solidified. To tell the story of the family that created Wolf Tucker, intertwined with a loyal community focus and the process of how they create their amazing finished products.
On our day of production we started our day in Mother Mandy’s kitchen where the business began many years ago. There was a lack of options for raw food on the market for Mandy’s dogs so she started to create her own. This was a key element to the story so this is where we began.
Later that morning we quickly found out there is an amazing community which Wolf Tucker had built over the years. It was of great importance to the Wolf Tucker family to have their community involved in the project, so we constructed a scene where we had the Wolf Tucker community head down to a local dog run to capture a variation of different breeds in which Wolf Tucker cater for. It was safe to say there was a lot of happy dogs running around, which kept us on our toes when filming.
The afternoon was spent at Wolf Tucker HQ where we documented the process of creating their famous products as well as filming a handful of scenes with the entire Wolf Tucker family. It was very clear to see the attention to detail and pride they have in their company, which not only reflects in the product but the workers and community too which we needed to ensure we communicated through the brand film.
The Result Of The Brand Film
In our initial discovery session we looked through our options of best placement for the finished film. As the Wolf Tucker brand has an extremely loyal audience we decided to premiere the brand film on Facebook and over email marketing campaigns. In line with the premiere we ran a competition to ensure we got as much engagement as possible on the the launch of the film. This was a great success, with over 13,000 organic views in the first 24 hours we saw the Wolf Tucker brand getting a fantastic return in investment through sales and brand awareness. When working with big audiences, it really helps us position the products to the best we can through different social channels.
What’s To Come
Working with the Wolf Tucker team has been fantastic and we have begun looking ahead into 2020 to see where the marketing budget is best placed. After further conversations with the team and from uncovering on how well their audiences respond to film content we knew that producing further humanising and authentic content for their brand was at the top of the list.
A decision was made to start creating ‘Wolf Tucker Ambassador’ films. These films will be used as a brand awareness piece to get a further insight into the community of Wolf Tucker and how Wolf Tucker helps their ambassadors in their day to day lives.
We’re starting our first film with Team GB and Great British dog agility champion Rebecca Sargent. Rebecca was due to compete at the world famous dog show Crufts, so we knew it was important to capture her in action in the highest level of competition.
We’re extremely excited to bring Rebecca’s story to your screen very soon. She has been a pleasure to work with and it was fascinating to get an insight into the highest level of dog agility competition.
