2019

A Year In Review

Just like that, we are at the end of the year, 2019…what a year it has been. With the end of the year comes the time to complete outstanding projects for the year, catch up with old friends and family and most importantly get involved in the Christmas festivities.

I do like to take the time to sit down and reflect on the journey which I started many years ago. There have been many highlights for me in 2019 but here are a few.

Our client list is expanding and with this comes a great opportunity to work on some fantastic projects on a global scale. This year we found ourselves in the city of Dhaka working with world-renowned architect Rafiq Azam, based in Bangladesh. We got invited to document his people-driven buildings that have a positive impact on the community in the heart of the city of Dhaka. These projects are set to be released in 2020, so keep your eyes peeled!

I am excited to say that our team is growing and throughout the year we have expanded our network to include drone operators, videographers and photographers to enable to use to fulfil any brief that we are presented with.

Our re-investment into the business is growing each year, by investing this year into cinema-quality kit it has allowed us to bring our clients to the next level of quality to all of our productions. We have also been heavily investing into our own personal branding, documenting the behind the scenes of our shoots has been not only valuable for his but our future clients, we’re excited to expand on this heading into 2020.

One big highlight for me this year includes working with the great Jamie Murray as an editor on his road to Wimbledon series. Walking into Queen’s Tennis Club being approach by Jamie, Andy and Judie Murray and the great Tim Henman will be a memory which I will never forget. Being an avid tennis player since the age of 4 this was truly a full-circle moment for me.

We’re beyond excited to reveal our plans for 2020. To believe my passion for filmmaking when my grandfather gave me a camera when I was 10 has developed over the years to a global video production company, it is a real ‘pinch me’ moment.

2020 is set to be an even bigger year for video and RLW Videography and we can’t wait to get stuck in.
